asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will arrange for the importation into the country of the maximum number of French films of quality for general exhibition, thus simultaneously raising the general level of public taste and saving dollars.

Full facilities are already available for the importation into this country of any number of French films which the British market can absorb; but the choice of films to be imported must rest with the industry.
