asked the Minister of Food whether, in his instructions to local food offices regarding extra rations for agricultural workers, he will add a category to include workers in cowsheds.

Workers employed in cowsheds, like other farm workers, receive extra rations of cheese and bread, and can obtain allowances of tea, sugar and milk to provide hot drinks at their work. In consultation with the T.U.C., special allowances of rationed foods are also granted for certain specified seasonal occupations involving long hours of work in the fields, but the work described by the hon. Member would not appear to be of this character
