Mr. Osborneasked the Minister of Transport if he will make a statement on the Grimsby Rural District Council's request for the improvement of Immingham docks, especially the completion of the Timber Pond; the provision of oil fuel storage, the increasing of the dry dock facilities; the extension of the Eastern 282W jetty; and in view of the £7,000,000 improvement scheme on the Hull side of the Humber, which of these Immingham schemes will be started first and when.
§ Mr. BarnesI cannot trace that any such request has been received in my Department from the Grimsby Rural District Council. In any event, I could not reach a decision until definite proposals had been submitted by the port authority.
