§ Mr. TomlinsonThe number of hotels, restaurants, guest and boarding houses, hostels and holiday camps held on requisition by all Government Departments on 1st August, 1945, on 1st January, 1946, and on 1st August, 1946, was 3,577, 2,145, and 676 respectively. The number is at present 558 and by the 1st January next is expected to be reduced to about 430.
