HC Deb 06 November 1946 vol 428 c255W
Mr. Baldwin

asked the Minister of Food whether he will grant increased rations to stockmen, in view of the long hours they work in a seven-day week.

Mr. Strachey

The special allowances of rationed foods which are made available to farmers for their workers during periods of seasonal activity cannot be extended to stockmen all the year round. They can, however, share in these allowances when they participate in the operations covered by a period of special seasonal activity.
