HC Deb 04 November 1946 vol 428 c180W
109. Mr. Keenan

asked the Minister of Transport if he will arrange for officials in Poplar, London, Board of Trade offices to be in attendance during the whole of the day for seafarers who have to call there for railway travel vouchers, food and clothing coupons, etc., and so avoid delaying them when having to travel long journeys to their homes.

Mr. Barnes

All mercantile marine offices are opened for the purposes mentioned by my hon. Friend from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m on Saturdays, and I have no evidence that this service is inadequate.
