HC Deb 21 May 1946 vol 423 cc72-3W
Lieut.-Colonel Boles

asked the Minister of Food whether, in view of the fact that British potted meat manufacturers are being asked to pack meat paste for export with a meat content of 90 per cent., arrangements will be made to make pastes of similar quality available for home consumption.

Sir B. Smith

British manufacturers have not been asked or authorised to pack for export meat pastes, with a meat content exceeding that prescribed for meat paste, manufactured for home consumption, that is to say 55 per cent.
