HC Deb 14 May 1946 vol 422 c177W
103. Sir G. Fox

asked the Minister of Works what steps he is taking to provide bricks for house building in Oxfordshire, where there is a shortage.

Mr. Tomlinson:

The rate of production of bricks is increasing daily, and it is expected that the priority distribution scheme for building materials, recently introduced, will ensure that adequate supplies of bricks will be available in all areas for the most essential purposes such as house building. I have no information of any particular shortage in Oxfordshire, but if the hon. Member will furnish details of any case he has in mind, I will have inquiries made.
