HC Deb 14 May 1946 vol 422 c177W
102. Mr. Sparks

asked the Minister of Works if he is aware that the hutments at the Emergency Labour Camp, Park Road North, Acton, have been unoccupied for a long time; that they are now in a bad condition and unfit for occupation; and, in view of the housing problem in the neighbourhood, if he will release the site and demolish the hutments to enable the Acton Borough Council to acquire the site for permanent housing development.

Mr. Tomlinson:

I am aware that this camp has been unoccupied for some time and is in bad condition. Instructions have been given for it to be demolished, and it is estimated that the site will be cleared by 31st May.
