HC Deb 07 May 1946 vol 422 c82W
105. Major Ramsay

asked the Minister of Transport why priority for obtaining motor cars for district nurses and doctors has been stopped; and whether he will consider reinstating this essential priority.

Mr. G. R. Strauss:

I assume the hon. and gallant Member refers to the system of control of sales of new cars, which was removed at the end of last year in view of the prospects of increased production. I would refer to my answer to the hon. Member for East Aberdeen (Mr. Boothby) on this subject on 18th March.
