§ Mr. BarnesLocal authorities are responsible for street name plates. I hope that in the light of the recommendations of the Traffic Signs Committee, which are included in a report shortly to be published, special attention will be given to this matter. Uniformity of practice in the display of legible street name plates is very desirable for the safety and convenience of traffic.
