HC Deb 14 February 1946 vol 419 cc154-5W
Mr. Willis

asked the Minister of Pensions if he will consider extending the provisions of Section 4 of Cmd. 6714, whereby a clothing allowance is made available in amputation cases, to other cases where surgical appliances and crutches cause excessive wear of clothing.

Mr. Wilfred Paling

I am pleased to inform my hon. Friend that I have already extended the clothing allowance provision set out in Section IV of Cmd. 6714 to cases other than amputation cases where, as a result of the pensioned disablement, there is exceptional wear and tear on the pensioner's clothing.
