HC Deb 27 November 1945 vol 416 c1252W
Major Spence

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware of the dissatisfaction which exists in the A.C.F. regarding the fact that all ranks have to pay for their rations during their annual seven-day camp; and if he will consider recognising the value of this corps by providing such rations free in future camps.

Mr. Lawson

The future conditions for the Army Cadet Force are under review and I will have this point, amongst others, considered, though I see no reason to dissent from the view hitherto taken, that this small charge is not a hardship or deterrent, and it certainly implies no failure to appreciate the value of the Force.
