HC Deb 04 May 1944 vol 399 c1481W
Mr. Hewlett

asked the Minister of Town and Country Planning what steps he is taking to secure the preservation and creation of the maximum green space round the cities arid towns in the industrial North.

Mr. W. S. Morrison

I recognise the desirability of securing green areas round towns and preserving a proper balance between town and country. My regional planning officers and the rural land utilisation officers of the Ministry of Agriculture are in constant touch with local planning authorities, in order to give them all necessary advice on these matters.
