HC Deb 23 September 1943 vol 392 cc422-3W
Mr. Hannah

asked the Minister of Labour whether he can make any statement as to the present regulations about postponement of calling up for individuals running one-man businesses?

Mr. Bevin

There has been no change in the National Service (Postponement Certificates) Regulations, 1939–1941, since December, 1941, when the maximum aggregate period of 12 months was abolished. This period had hitherto been the maximum aggregate period of postponement when applications were granted solely in respect of business responsibilities and interests.
