HC Deb 21 January 1943 vol 386 c323W
Mr. Tinker

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that the increase in the price of tea is causing concern; and will he make a statement as to whether the Government policy on controlling prices has changed?

Sir K. Wood

I have been asked to reply. The information at my disposal does not lead me to suppose that this increase is causing concern in the public mind. As regards the second part of the Question, the Government's policy remains as set out in the White Paper on Price Stabilisation and Industrial Policy.
