HC Deb 09 September 1942 vol 383 c167W
Mr. J. Dugdale

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will set up an organisation for the Navy of a similar kind to the Army Bureau of Current Affairs?

Mr. Alexander

The publications of the Army Bureau of Current Affairs are circulated to ships and naval establishments, and instructions have been issued to the Fleet to encourage the use of the pamphlets as a basis for lectures. Various other means are being developed to stimulate an interest in current affairs in the Fleet. The establishment of an organisation to duplicate the A.B.C.A. is not contemplated.
