HC Deb 08 September 1942 vol 383 c63W
Captain P. Macdonald

asked the Secretary of State for War whether arrangements could be made for military hospitals in the Isle of Wight to assist the civil hospitals by taking casualties and urgent cases and thereby alleviate difficulties arising from petrol restrictions and the calling up of civilian staff?

Sir J. Grigg

Such arrangements already exist in the Isle of Wight. Military hospitals will take in casualties and urgent cases in any emergency.
