HC Deb 19 November 1942 vol 385 c526W
Mr. Rostron Duckworth

asked the Minister of Labour whether, taking the last return of wholly unemployed women and girls, 36,226 in number, of whom only 1,146 were classified as being unable for good causes to transfer to another area, he can state the reason why the balance of 35,080 are unable to obtain work on transfer?

Mr. Bevin

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave on 15th October to the hon. Member for Stourbridge (Mr. R. Morgan), a copy of which I am sending him.
