HC Deb 18 March 1942 vol 378 c1524W
Mr. E. Evans

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether it is the intention of the Minister that retail establishments having a proportionately large trade in canned fruits should enlarge the scope of their business in other points-rationed goods by virtue of the points collected against the sale of their canned fruit allocations; and, if not, will he take steps to deal with the problems involved?

Major Lloyd George

Yes, Sir. Traders may use the points collected from their customers to purchase any point rationed foods which they are licensed to sell.
