HC Deb 06 August 1942 vol 382 c1225W
Sir E. Graham-Little

asked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that in a district near London which has been privately named to him, no invasion defence officer has, as yet, been appointed; and whether he will inquire into the circumstances and take steps to fill the office?

Mr. H. Morrison

The district referred to by my hon. Friend is the only one in the London Civil Defence Region in which an appointment of an invasion defence officer has not yet been made. The question is one for the Regional Commissioners, and, I understand, is receiving their urgent consideration.
