HC Deb 11 September 1941 vol 374 c325W
Mr. Groves

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that men serving with the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy are granted four free travelling passes, whereas those serving in the Army are only granted two such passes; and whether he will take the steps necessary to ensure equality of treatment with the other services?

Captain Margesson

My hon. Friend appears to be under a misapprehension. Men serving in all three Services are entitled to two free leave warrants a year, with the exception of certain categories of personnel in each Service who receive two additional warrants a year in view of the specially hazardous nature of their duties.
