HC Deb 11 September 1941 vol 374 c325W
Colonel Colville

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware of the continued delay in the granting of Army honours and awards for gallantry in air-raids as compared with civil awards; and what steps he is taking to shorten the procedure in view of the value to morale of awards made soon after the event?

Captain Margesson

This question has recently been re-examined and it has been decided to introduce a new procedure which it is hoped will expedite the examination of recommendations.
