§ Captain WaterhouseGas undertakings are not given statutory authority to make minimum charges for gas. Electricity undertakings which, unlike gas, have to install plant to cover their peak load and 1529W to maintain it for use when required, are authorised to make minimum charges, and I think it is not unreasonable that they should continue to be made.
