HC Deb 09 April 1941 vol 370 c1576W
Colonel Carver

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the large number of soldiers now billeted or accommodated in various parts of the country and of the continued complaints from farmers, he will issue some order to all concerned which will ensure that all troops have proper regard for the importance of preserving the amenities and food productivity of the country?

Captain Margesson

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the answer I gave to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Bolton (Sir E. Cadogan) on nth February last, of which I am sending him a copy.
