asked the Secretary for Mines whether he will state the number of workmen killed; and the number injured in the mining industry in South Wales and Monmouthshire in 1938?

During the year 1938, 154 persons were killed by accidents at mines under the Coal Mines Act, 1911, in South Wales and Monmouthshire. Information as to the number of persons injured is not yet available.
