HC Deb 04 May 1939 vol 346 c2089W
Sir L. Everard

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will issue instructions to permit officers of the Regular Army Reserve, who attain the age limit of liability to recall during the next six months, to remain on the reserve for one more year, providing that they have served at least six months with the Army in the last three years; that they are passed medically fit for active service; and that they apply for such extension of service?

Sir V. Warrender

It is already the practice that officers whose services it is specially desirable to retain should be invited to remain in the Reserve.
