HC Deb 14 December 1939 vol 355 c1306W
Sir W. Jenkins

asked the Minister of Labour why the tinplate works at Pontardawe, Glamorgan, which were formerly turning out Anderson shelters, have not been restarted and are still idle; and, as a large number of people are unemployed in the area, will he take immediate steps to make use of the unemployed skilled workers in the area?

Mr. E. Brown

I am making inquiries into the present position in this area and will write to the hon. Member.
