§ Lieut.-Colonel MuirheadThe Burma section of this road is now open to all vehicles not exceeding five tons gross weight. It is anticipated that improvements now being made will keep it open for this traffic during the rains. An adequate supply of petrol is available at Lashio and at three other points between there and the frontier. No special protection against aircraft exists on the Burma section of the road.
