HC Deb 17 March 1937 vol 321 c2089W
Mr. Liddall

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware that Germany buys Chilean goods only as against Chilean purchases of German goods; and whether, as Britain is one of Chile's best customers, he will arrange that Chile shall reserve her sterling credits for the purchase of British goods and for full debt service on British-held Chilean bonds?

Mr. Eden

The answer to the first part of the question is Yes, Sir. With regard to the second, the question of trade relations between this country and Chile is at present under consideration.
