Sir K. Wood

Since the 30th of November, 1935, I have approved the building by rural district councils of 23,223 houses, The numbers approved for Norfolk as a whole and South-West Norfolk are respectively 983 and 200. During the same period no applications for grants have been rejected by me in respect of houses in Norfolk, but applications for grants in respect of houses intended to abate overcrowding were rejected in the case of 259 houses in other parts of the country.
