§ Mr. De Chairasked the Minister of Health how many applications have been made to his Department for grants to recondition rural cottages under the Rural Workers Housing Act since the General Election, 1935, by local councils in the whole country, in Norfolk, and in South-West Norfolk, espectively; whether his Department have rejected any such application; and how many grants made by owners of cottages to local councils in Norfolk and in South-West Norfolk, respectively, have been rejected by those councils?
§ Sir K. WoodApplications made by owners for grants under the Housing Rural Workers Acts are decided by the local authorities and not by me and I assume that my hon. Friend wishes to know the number of such applications made to local authorities and the number rejected by them.
