HC Deb 20 July 1933 vol 46 cc140-1W
Mr. Steel

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his Department was invited to attend the conference on the reform of British immigration law at Somerville College, Oxford from 1 to 3 July.

Mr. Waddington

The Department was asked to send official representatives to the conference, at which, it was said, it was hoped to begin laying the basis on which a future Government could introduce new immigration policies. This invitation was declined.
