HC Deb 06 July 1932 vol 268 c452W
Sir W. RAY

asked the Minister of Transport whether, having regard to the important changes now foreshadowed in the London Passenger Transport Bill, regarding which opponents have not had an opportunity of submitting evidence or cross-examining witnesses, the Government will consider introducing a new Bill to deal with the question of London transport?

Mr. PYBUS

In view of the additional expenditure both public and private and the delay which the introduction of a new Bill would involve, I am of opinion that the proper course is suitably to amend the existing Bill.
