asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will have an inquiry set up into the action of the Glasgow police in connection with the unemployed demonstration on 1st October, 1931, in which a large number of people were batoned in the streets and arrested?

I am not aware of any circumstances which would call for action on my part on the lines suggested in the question.
