§ Mr. SHAWThe number of employés, male and female, directly affected by the short-time scheme at the Ordnance Factories, Woolwich, during its first week, i.e., the week ended 12th April, 1930, was 4,897. The average wage (including overtime) of those employés for that week was £3 4s. 10d., and the corresponding figure for the week ended 29th March, 1930, was £3 12s. 6d. The intermediate week was not a normal week, as it included stocktaking.
