asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he can make a statement about the Government policy relatting to land settlement in Scotland, and the extent of the progress already made?

Mr. ADAMSON

I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to the similar question by the hon. Member for Kincardine and Western Aberdeenshire (Mr. J. Scott) on the 5th instant. I should add that preparations are being made on the basis then indicated with a view to proceeding to the fullest extent that funds will permit.
