HC Deb 12 November 1929 vol 231 c1738W
Mr. MILLAR

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he can state the additional sum, beyond the amount originally estimated, which will require to be provided to meet the loss of rates to local authorities in Scotland in respect of lands and heritages which have been held by the Scottish Valuation Courts to be subject to the de-rating proposals contained in the Local Government (Scotland) Act, 1929?

Mr. ADAMSON

The extent to which the original estimate will be affected can not be estimated until decisions have been given on the appeals which have been taken to the Lands Valuation Appeal Court.
