HC Deb 05 November 1929 vol 231 c852W
Viscount ELMLEY

asked the Postmaster-General what period of leave, if any, is granted to sub-postmasters annually?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

The conditions of appointment of sub-postmasters require them to make satisfactory provision for the Post Office work throughout the whole of the year; but personal attendance on their part is not specified. The question of annual leave does not therefore arise.
