HC Deb 05 November 1929 vol 231 c876W
Mr. O. LEWIS

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether seeing that so far as non-immigrants are concerned, the United States of America would be willing to agree to the mutual abolition of fees for visas for passports as between our country and theirs, and with a view' to promoting intercourse between the two countries, he is prepared to take the necessary steps to have these fees abolished?

Mr. DALTON

The matter is under active consideration and it is hoped to arrive at a decision shortly.
