HC Deb 04 November 1929 vol 231 c621W
Colonel BURTON

asked the Secretary for Mines whether he is aware of any alteration in the conditions under which a million tons of coal are to be supplied to Italy; and whether any portion of such million tons of coal is to be supplied to private consumers in Italy who are now being supplied from other sources?

Mr. TURNER

No, Sir. The arrangement made at The Hague was quite definite and there has been no change. The hon. Member may be interested to know that a representative of the Italian State Railways is at present in this country making the necessary arrangements for implementing the undertaking given at The Hague Conference by the Italian Government.
