HC Deb 20 December 1928 vol 223 c3267W
Mr. A. V. ALEXANDER

asked the Postmaster-General whether inventions and improvements relating to cables and wireless which may be discovered by the research workers and operators employed by the Communications Company will be the property of the Communications Company or whether they will be the property of the merger company, like existing wireless patent rights, available for lease to foreign companies, including those in which the cable and wireless companies have interests?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON

This question will depend on the terms of agreement between the merger and Communications Companies, and until these companies have been formed I am unable to make any statement.
