HC Deb 19 December 1928 vol 223 c3026W
Mr. KELLY

asked the Home Secretary, in view of the report he has received from the factory inspector as to the conditions operating at Messrs. Brand and Company, of Sidcup, with particular reference to the hours worked at that establishment, if any action is contemplated?

Sir V. HENDERSON

The reports received show that there has been no infringement of the Act, and there appears to be no ground for any action on the part of my right hon. Friend. The factory is a modern building, well ventilated and lighted, and the inspector reports favourably on the welfare and safety arrangements.
