HC Deb 07 December 1928 vol 223 c1567W
Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLE

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether he is now in a position to state the outcome of the negotiations with the Canadian Deputy Minister of Immigration with respect to British settlement in Canada?

Mr. AMERY

No, Sir. But as I have stated in reply to previous questions on this subject, I hope to be in a position to make a statement on the subject before the House rises for the Christmas Recess. I would at the same time refer my hon. Friend to the answer I am giving to-day to a private notice question on the reduction of migrant fares to Canada.
