HC Deb 17 November 1927 vol 210 c1147W
Mr. TAYLOR

asked the Minister of Transport if he is taking any steps to deal with the increasing congestion at the level crossings in the city of Lincoln; and whether he will make representations to the London and North Eastern Railway Company urging the necessity of constructing the short avoiding line on the west and east sides of the city for which Parliamentary sanction was secured in 1924?

Colonel ASHLEY

I have no scheme before me at present for the improvement of the roads crossing railways on the level in Lincoln. As regards the last part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given to a similar question asked by him on the 17th March last. I will, however, again bring the matter to the notice of the railway company.
