§ Mr. NEVILLE CHAMBERLAINI am aware that it is a common practice to add certain chemical substances to flour with the object of modifying its baking properties. The question whether such additions are objectionable on grounds of health and what restrictions, if any, should be placed on them in the interest of the public health has been referred to a Departmental Committee for consideration and report.
