HC Deb 11 March 1926 vol 192 c2618W
Captain FAIRFAX

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in negotiating debt settlements with foreign nations, he will consider the possibility of securing some modification of the tariffs raised against our imports as a set-off to any remissions of principal or interest to which he may accede in the settling of such debts?

Mr. CHURCHILL

My hon. and gallant Friend may be assured that in the negotiations to which he refers, due consideration will be given to all relevant factors.
