HC Deb 11 March 1926 vol 192 cc2617-8W
Captain O'CONNOR

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the fact that the French Government has not made any payments to this country under the agreement for debt settlement tentatively arrived at last July and in view of the feeling in this country that the terms then offered to France by this country were too generous he will intimate to the French Government that such offer was only open to them for acceptance within a reasonable time and that it is now withdrawn?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the answer given this afternoon to the right hon. Gentleman, the Member for Colne Valley (Mr. Snowden).
