HC Deb 09 March 1926 vol 192 c2130W
Dr. WATTS

asked the President of the Board of Trade if the Food Council has inquired into the cases of local profiteering in the meat trade in certain towns, where the retail butchers charge 8d. to 10d. a pound more for beef and mutton than the prices charged in adjoining districts?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

If my hon. Friend will send me particulars of any cases he may have in mind, I will ask the Food Council to inquire into them.
