asked the President of the Board of Trade if he has received any information as to the working of the quota system for British films in Australia; and, if such reports are favourable, whether he will take any action to promote its introduction in England?

In a reply on 16th February to the hon. and gallant Member for Warwick (Captain Eden), the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs stated that, so far as he had been able to ascertain, no such legislation has been passed in Australia. If such legislation becomes operative any reports upon it will be carefully considered.
